Ketamine Infusion Therapy at Waybridge
When medications haven't worked, IV ketamine at Waybridge can offer real relief.Ketamine is a safe, fast-acting treatment that can rapidly reduce symptoms of depression—even when traditional medications haven’t helped. Administered in a calming, clinical setting by our experienced medical team, IV ketamine works differently from standard antidepressants, targeting the brain’s glutamate system to help restore healthy neural connections. Many patients begin noticing improvements within hours to days, not weeks. While not yet covered by all insurance plans, it’s a breakthrough option for those with treatment-resistant depression. At Waybridge, we’re here to walk with you every step of the way—helping you find hope, clarity, and a path forward.

1. Who is IV ketamine therapy at Waybridge right for?

Waybridge offers IV ketamine therapy primarily for people dealing with chronic depressive disorders—such as Major Depressive Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder, and Bipolar I/II depression—who haven't experienced relief after trying traditional antidepressants. Many patients we treat also face other conditions like PTSD, anxiety, OCD, or trauma. If you've tried medications but still feel stuck, IV ketamine might be the next step to help you move forward.

2. How does IV ketamine therapy at Waybridge work?

Your journey at Waybridge begins with an hour-long consultation at one of our clinics, where you'll meet with our experienced psychiatric providers. During this session, we’ll discuss your mental health history, current symptoms, and prior treatments you've tried. If IV ketamine is appropriate, we’ll schedule a series of infusion sessions, carefully administered in a comfortable setting by our clinical team. Each infusion lasts about 40 minutes, with additional recovery and monitoring time afterward. Expect to be in our clinic for a total of about two hours.

3. How often will I need to be seen?

Initially, most patients undergo a series of 6 infusions scheduled over approximately 2–3 weeks. After this initial series, we’ll assess your response and decide together on the best plan for maintenance sessions, which could range from once per month to once every several months, depending on your progress and individual needs.

4. How do I pay for it?

Currently, IV ketamine is typically considered an out-of-pocket treatment, since most insurance companies do not yet cover it. However, Waybridge is actively working with insurers to advocate for coverage. Our Care Coordinators can discuss pricing, help you navigate potential payment plans, and provide superbills for you to submit for partial out-of-network reimbursement.
